Prefab Office POD By Tate & Hindle
In these trying times, aka in this shitty economy more and more people are working from home. The need for personal office space is higher than ever so it makes logical sense that in this prefab, plug-and-play age portable pre-made offices would be readily available. Tate & Hindle have made finding an office as easy as a phone call. Check out these shots of the POD. I have a feeling a lot of people will be hot boxing these micro offices with butt burps, unfortunately there isn't room to blame it on a co-worker.

The Kilrenney House
What's 4,000 sq. ft. and really really good looking? If you guessed Jessica Simpson you're right but that's not what I'm writing about. The Kilrenney house in Cheviot Hills, CA boasts a grand, open, contemporary floor plan that houses 5 bedies, 5 1/2 boom boom rooms, 2 living rooms and an office. All that wrapped in a chic, modern shell with a plethora of windows and balconies so you (if you're

Robles Architects: Da Costa House
I'm still trying to save enough bones to purchase a house in the States but if I had a few mill lying around (after a solid bender in Vegas) I would probably blow it on a tasty house in a tropical foreign country like this one in Costa Rica. Nestled on the Central Pacific shore of Costa this house will repeatedly make you ask yourself the tough questions. Like, "Should I lay on the beach today or by the pool?" Or, "How many naked broads can I fit in my huge jacuzzi bathtub?" The Robles Architects home was designed to bring the feel of nature inside but also create an environment surrounded with modern comforts. They achieved this through the use of endless amounts of floor to ceiling windows bordering nearly every room. There are even windows in the bathrooms and bedrooms so if you have a problem with flashing your down belows to the occasional monkey or three toed sloth you may want to bring some drapes with you.

Modern Cabana
Want to show your friends how big of a baller you can be? Well drop one of these Modern Cabanas next to your backyard swimmin' hole. Not only will the ladies flock to your digs like the salmon of Capistrano but chonies are sure to drop when they learn that these bad boys are not only really really good looking but green too.
Intermingled within the elegant stylish designs are tons of eco-friendly features; low VOC paints, sustainable bamboo flooring, recycled denim insulation and FSC-certified lumber. The Cabanas are also entirely customizable so you can pick and choose which special features you'd like to incorporate.

My School Is Better Than Your School.
I'm all for learning, because everyone knows knowledge is power!!! Unfortunately school is boring, really fucking boring! Mainly because the buildings and structures of our institutionalized learning facilities are horrid, putrid, maladies, of architectural excrement. I'm speaking mainly about our nation's public school system, which seems to be meticulously designed to extract every essence of creativity from our youth's brains and replace them with Ritalin soaked drones whose only goal is to conform to predestined cookie cutter curriculum.
Whew! Happy to get that off my chest. I don't know much regarding the state of our country's private schools, however I do know that private aka for profit schools are businesses, businesses that make money. I also know that money creates opportunities and can conjure major benefits in several instances. Since we are talking about schools and the buildings that house our youth, get a whiff of this fresh out of the oven Funfetti of a private school in Carlsbad, CA. Pacific Ridge, a $7.5 million college prep school is not only alluring to the eye but also to the environment. Currently the school is up for LEED Gold certification (You Eco-nerds know what I'm talking about, if you don't then hit the link and expand your knowledge). Gander at the pics and just imagine how green the drought resistant grass is on the other side.

Not Your Normal Tree House
A tree falls in your backyard... does it make a sound? Yup and it makes a kick ass tree house! Well at least it did when a tree fell in the backyard of a Brentwood estate owned by an art lover and philanthropist. Rockefeller Partners Architects went to town when a 40 foot pine tree went down for the count. But instead of chopping up this prepubescent pinewood derby car the still living tree was incorporated into a glorious structure that is more art than domicile. At Only 172 sq. ft. you're probably thinking they just jammed a Murphy bed and ran a hose up there so the guest had a place to sleep and some water to rinse off their down belows... Nope, this dainty dwelling has a bed, office, microwave, fridge and even a crapper to keep its guests happy. However, if you enjoy belting out the latest hot single from Miss Spears while showering be ready to share your larynx love with the neighbors because you be havin an outdoor shower yo!
Other than the fact you might get caught scrubbing your dirties by the neighbors this has to be one of the most well designed "tree houses" in so cal.

Livin Large In Singapore
It seems that Singapore has a little something for everyone. Beautiful tropical beaches, comfortable climate, friendly locals, a rich history, ...lady boys but who would have thunk Singapore as the place to go for magnificent home architecture. Take a peek at the 4 story bungalow above, designed by Aamer Architects. This ginormous bungalow sits only a few blocks from the beach in a hood called Queen Astrid Park. Now I haven't had the overwhelming joy of ransacking and plundering Singapore for its booze and women (yet) but I can only imagine that Queen Astrid Park is the equivalent to Beverly Hills or "The Hills" to use the parlance of our time. This behemoth connects its living spaces by walkways that take the person fortunate enough to be inside her on a journey through courtyards and some of the several water features on the property. I'm sure this place has seen its fair share of brunzed boobies lying out by the pool... Check out LivingPod for more insane homes and design ideas.
I think it's time for a Singapore trip.
